SERVICES

What Is Wealth Management?

Comprehensive wealth management integrates seven key areas of your financial life:

Our planning services include mathematical analysis and forecasting, professional evaluation and advice, specific recommendations, support, a structure for making decisions and accountability - so that people can make better financial decisions and help improve their personal and professional lives.  We are committed to developing a close professional relationship with you and your family. The better we know you, the more effective we can be in our counsel.

When it is not possible for our team to handle your problems alone, we will call in outside professionals and monitor the relationship to help ensure that the work done on your behalf is of the highest standards.

We are committed to developing a personal relationship with you and your family.  The better we know you, the more effective we can be in our counsel.

Fees & Expenses

Project-Specific Financial Planning Services

In some limited instances, we may offer project-based planning and analysis services to clients whose planning needs are more limited and specific in nature. These analyses may include:

Our fees for project-specific planning are determined in advance and reflect the complexity of the issue involved and our estimate of the time required to understand, analyze, and recommend appropriate solutions. The minimum fee for project-related planning is $2,000. Project fees are typically collected 50% upon engagement, with the balance due upon completion pursuant to a written advisory agreement.

Investment Management Services

Fees for our investment management services are based on the assets we manage for you. To ensure that we are able to provide the highest level of services for our clients, we have implemented the following fee schedule: 1% on the first $5 million, 0.75% on the next $5 million, and .50% on the next $5 million. The fee is negotiable for assets greater than $15 million. Fees can be billed on a quarterly basis or deducted from client accounts.

The development of your Investment Policy Statement, the transfer of your assets, and the initial implementation process are included in our investment management fee. Your management fee also covers our ongoing consultations with you regarding your investments and related financial issues, pursuant to a written advisory agreement.

Comprehensive Financial Planning Services

Typically completed over a six to twelve month period, the compensation for creating your plan is structured as a project fee and is paid in quarterly installments. Our fee is fully identified and agreed to at the beginning of our planning engagement.

Our fees for creating comprehensive financial plans are based on the complexity of your unique situation. Your fee will be based on the projected staff time required to develop your plan and will reflect the complexity of your particular circumstances. A deposit of 25% of your planning fee will be required when you engage us.

Getting Started

1. Call or contact Bellingrath Wealth Management

First, we need to get to know one another. It’s as simple as picking up the phone (504.593.6042) or sending us your contact information in this form. After a preliminary conversation with one of our advisors, we can quickly determine if we can be of help to you.

2. Schedule an introductory meeting

During our complimentary introductory meeting, we will learn about you and your finances, your need for a financial advisor, your concerns and goals, and what you hope to accomplish through a relationship with our firm. This understanding helps us both decide whether we are a good match. This is your opportunity to interview us, to learn more about our philosophy, and to determine if our services will be valuable to you. After this meeting, our team will discuss your situation to determine if we feel there is a fit. We will contact you within 48 hours to discuss the next steps.

3. Decide on engagement and initiate data collection

If you decide to engage Bellingrath Wealth Management, you will be asked to provide as much information about your finances as possible. We want to understand you—your goals, your dreams and your concerns.  We will ask you to complete a questionnaire and provide us with copies of virtually all of your financial documents (i.e., tax returns, investment and banking statements, insurance policies, employee benefits statements, key business agreements and personal wills and/or trusts). We will spend a great deal of time asking you questions to ensure that we understand your circumstances, priorities and values.

4. Begin the financial planning process

As our planning work proceeds, we’ll refine and review recommendations on all financial matters of concern to you. Through a series of meetings, we’ll focus on specific topics to ensure that every detail is adequately covered and that you understand the issues involved. We will prepare your personal financial planning website and update it as new information is provided. After each meeting, you will receive a written summary outlining action items that both you and your advisor are responsible for completing.

5. Completing the financial planning process

We believe that the financial planning process is never complete.  Life changes and circumstances change as well.  As a result, we will update our analysis and make the necessary changes to your plan.  We anticipate a long-term relationship, providing support and guidance to help you weather change, and continue to make the most effective financial decisions possible.
